Decent book for Entrepreneurs

Just finished listening to the CDs. There are two with the book--about an hour each. I think the author does a really good job of describing the current entitlement mentality, and its' various forms. He does a good job describing what he believes was the root cause--the post WWII boom in America.
I think it's a decent enough book. Def. more geared towards business owners/professionals, and people that are aspiring to be in that crowd.
The quality of the book is good too. Although it's thin, it's a nice hard-bound, thick paper, color, 2-CDs. So for what you get it may be a steal.
For me the chapter on breaking out of the entitlement mentality def. helped push me beyond my current cynical view of the bureaucratic/archaic Corporate America and feel more confident about positioning myself in the more Entrepreneurial economy of the future.
I like how the book describes "ceilings of complexity" and ways to break through. But it's def a more conceptual book. Something you'd probably want to refer to a few times annually maybe.
Also, with the "sales pitch" for the coaching. It's really not there until the very end, and it's def. not very blatant. I'm sensitive to those type of shenanigans and the book didn't raise any red-flags with me. It's there if you want it, not if you don't.

If you are an entreprenuer, or an aspiring entreprenuer you need to buy this program!

Simply put, if you are an entreprenuer or you intend to become an entreprenuer, this program and the sequel are the best resources in the marketplace PERIOD!
The idea behind the program is that the invention of the microchip has opened a global economy which has allowed a great many people to become entreprenuers and abandon the bureaucratic ideas that most of the world operates under.
This program provides entrepreneurs with 6 mindsets and 6 strategies that will help them overcome the obstacles that they will face on the path to creating value for communities, customers and last but not least themselves.
Another reviewer suggested that "The 4-Hour Workweek" by Tim Ferriss was a better alternative. I'd say that "How the Best Get Better" provides a philosophy and a framework for implementing Tim's ideas (his DEAL/DELA concept). They compliment each other extremely well.
Overall, this program is amazing and I think the world in the 21st Century is changing to this paradigm/way of thinking.
I would also check out the sequel "How The Best Get Better 2" which provides 6 more concepts and strategies that are more focused on what is happening in the 21st century.

Eye opener in a few short pages

While a very short book Dan does an excellent job of laying out a few basics that if you apply will sunstantially raise the level of your work. The first is the difference betweeen the "entitlement" attitude and the entrepreneur attitude. Secondly he adresses how we sometimes meet success but don't push ourselves to the next level, known as "the largest cheque". And thirdly how changing our mindset and work habits to where we are doing only productive income-producing work is the only way to take ourselves to the next level.
Dan does mention his coaching program but it is only on the last two pages of the book. His ideas are basic but have the potential to have a major impact.
